SENIORS: Cole

Cole is a nice kid. Easy going, too. In fact, I just can't say enough good stuff about him, the guy even laughed at all my attempts at humor. He is also the kid brother of one my previous seniors, Dillon (hey girl!) Cole, his mom and I enjoyed a recent evening in walking, talking about photography, life and taking a few photos in between at Nichols Arboretum.

Wishing you a great senior year, Cole!

A Window Seat

I just got home from a short, yet somehow long, weekend in Dallas Texas. I was sent to cover the Michigan football team play Alabama in the Cowboy Classic at the legendary Cowboy Stadium. This post, however, is not about football! (But if you are curious you can click here.)

Somehow I managed to score a direct flight on the way to DFW. 2-and-a-half-hours and I was there in no time flat! I wasn't so lucky on the return trip, with a 5 a.m. wake-up call and a layover in St. Lake City. I've never flown out of St. Lake, so I had no idea how amazing the airport was or the surrounding area. So there I found myself, tucked into a window seat, and no polite way to get to my cameras in the overhead compartment. Thank goodness for my handy iPhone! Check out a few photos from my birds eye view over some pretty amazing landscapes.

These photos have such a painterly feeling.

Photographing Amanda and Ryan

Meet Amanda and Ryan. Both are of the midwestern variety and hail from our neighbor to the west, Wisconsin. They have relocated to Ann Arbor as Amanda is attending the University of Michigan as a nursing doctoral student. They have planned TWO weddings for this summer with the first at a California vineyard this July.

We recently met up in the peony gardens at Nichols Arboretum to enjoy a beautiful evening and a little camera time.

Unpredictable Michigan weather reared it's head and our original date was rained out. Fortunately, the photos Gods rewarded us with amazing weather for our make up day. I'd say it was worth the trouble.
