FAMILY: ALICE in WONDERLAND

I met Kelly and her husband Martin when I first moved to Ann Arbor (we even had a photo shoot back then!) They were engaged at the time but now they are a family of three!

It's pretty clear, baby Alice is so loved. When her mother Kelly emailed saying she wanted to shoot an Alice in Wonderland inspired set of photos, I was more than excited. Kelly, a fashion designer, had every detail worked out, she even had a groomer paint their pug Suz to resemble the Cheshire cat! We meet up on a recent humid July morning at a park near their home to take some fun summer photos.

SENIORS: KASSIE

Kassie is an Ann Arbor senior and the younger sister of one of my previous seniors (now an MSU student) Kendra! I love a little flash from the past. :) But back to Kassie, I mean, look at this smile! If her smile tells you anything, it's that she is one of the sweetest people on the planet. I had a great time wandering through the Arb with Kassie and her mom Kam, chatting and even making a new woodland creature friend! 

Have a great senior year, Kassie! Now that you have that "mean" business pose down I know you'll conquer whatever comes your way! ;)

Wedding: Megan & Rich in Alexandria, VA

Meet Megan and Rich. Megan met Rich, when she posted a room in her Alexandria, Va., apartment for rent a few years ago. Turns out, Rich really liked the apartment. But he didn't take it. He decided to take Megan out for a date instead! (Hot-ta-ta!) What was an initially a causal answer to a for-rent ad, turned out to be a romance that turned into a marriage and now, I suppose, a really interesting tale of how Rich found a new place to live. ;)

The forecast for their late June wedding included a rainbow of color on the radar, hot, humid temperatures and enough rain (I'm talking torrential rain, my friends) to flood a desert. But Mother Nature had nothing on the fun and love that friends and family poured down on these two. Congratulations, Meg & Rich! <3
