Mid-season football photos

I've been pretty busy photographing (and showing off) local seniors on here lately. :) I thought it might be nice to show what else I've been up to since school started back up. It's mid-October and we are well into Michigan football season. So far Michigan has faced seven opponents and are 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the Big Ten. I'm fortunate enough to get to travel to the away games. Michigan has played in Texas and Indiana so far and Nebraska, Minnesota and Ohio coming up. Here's a look at my favorite photos from the season so far.

Michigan kicked off the season in Dallas, Texas at Cowboy Stadium against the No. 1 team in the country, Alabama. I think this photo pretty much sums up the way that game went.

Seniors: Hannah

I know I've mentioned it before, but I love meeting and photographing seniors. It's a window (if not a reminder) into that short period in life when what's important is picking out a dress for Homecoming, perfecting essays  for college applications and just being a teen. Hannah's in that moment in life, looking toward her future but living in the moment, too. We met up at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens on a recent evening and took a few photos to freeze her high school self in time!

As you can see we scored some beautiful evening light!

I think this one's my favorite!

We employed the services of Mother Nature's wind machine for these photos! I love a little wind machine!

Have a great senior year, Hannah! :D

Seniors: Dillon

This is Dillon, and she's a girl with a plan. As the daughter of airline employees she's gone places I've only dreamed about and she's certainly not with her travels in life! Dillon speaks two languages, including Mandarin, and aspires to attend the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania. (Fingers crossed for ya, girl!) She's an athlete, too. She dives and plays water polo and is just an all-around sweet gal to be around!

We got the best of both worlds with our shoot as the flowers were still in bloom at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens as the leaves had started to turn.

I love the color contrast in this photo, and of course Dillon's smile, too! :D

Dillon was given this scarf from a from a Chinese host mom she had during a visit and internship on the West coast.

Good luck in your senior year and beyond, Dillon!
