Little Alice is growing like a weed and she's about to become a big sister. We marked the occasion by a morning family shoot in Nichols Arboretum in mid-August. Here are some of my favorite photos from that morning. Can't wait to see what the stork drops off for these three in October!
WEDDING: COURTNEY & GREG
When Courtney and Greg chose a destination location for their wedding they had no idea that an impromptu career opportunity for Greg would require them to plan more than just their big day.
Instead, they sold their Michigan home, purchased a new one near Baltimore, navigated all that planning while Greg moved to Maryland early and packed the entire house to be moved only two days after they returned from Mexico. Oh, and the wedding!
Fortunately for Greg, he picked the right gal to marry. Courtney is one heck of an organizer! :) In early August, friends and family gathered at a lovely resort on the ocean in Riviera Maya, Mexico, for the big day (or week!)
Congratulations, Courtney and Greg! Thank you so much for allowing me to apart of your big day! Can't wait to come visit you guys soon!
ENGAGEMENT: KATE & JOE
It began with a last minute phone call. Kate would be back in Ann Arbor just long enough to help Joe finish packing up their apartment, say a few farewells and get on the road to Seattle, where they pair were to relocate. With one exception.
Joe planned a sweet surprise engagement for Kate. He ordered a custom fairy door and picked the spot of the second date in Nichols Arboretum for the big reveal. The ring arrived on a Friday and the engagement happened on Saturday morning. All I had to do, was plant the door and ring and wait nervously in the bushes to photograph the big moment! Guess what? She said yes. :)
Following a few quick "we did it!" photos, Kate, Joe and I met up a couple days later to wander around Ann Arbor and take their official engagement photos. I think you can tell by the photos that we had a blast.
Congrats Kate & Joe! Ann Arbor's loss, is Seattle's, gain. I only wish I had met you two earlier, you are awesome!
